I’m Liz, and I’m super excited to share a little about the wonderful world of art therapy with you today. Based here in beautiful Brisbane, Australia, I’ve been lucky enough to witness the transformative power of art in people's lives, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.
So, what exactly is art therapy? Imagine a space where you can freely express yourself, not just through words, but with colors, shapes, and textures. Whether it's painting, drawing, sculpting, or a different medium, art therapy is all about using creative processes to explore and understand your emotions and what is going on for you. It's like having a conversation with your inner self, but instead of talking, you’re creating.

In our sessions, you’ll find a variety of materials to play with—paint, clay, pastels, you name it. The goal isn’t to produce a masterpiece (though you might surprise yourself!); it’s about the process of creating. This process can help you uncover feelings and thoughts that might be hard to express otherwise. And don't worry, you don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy, in fact sometimes its better if you're not! Rest assured, it's open to everyone, regardless of age or skill level.

One of the best parts of art therapy is its ability to provide a safe and supportive environment. It’s a space where you can explore your feelings without judgment, which can be incredibly liberating. Many people find that it helps reduce anxiety, improve mood, and even enhance problem-solving skills. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

If you’re curious about how art therapy might work for you or your loved ones, I’d love to chat more. Feel free to visit www.abeltherapiesaustralia.com.au or drop me a message. Let’s explore the healing power of art together!
With gratitude, Liz
